I begin this New Year with amazement at the presence of the Holy One.
I begin this New Year with gratitude for life.
I begin this New Year with hope that all shall be well.
I begin this New Year with courage to meet what will be difficult.
I begin this New Year with conviction to do what is life-giving
I begin this New Year with eyes ever alert for beauty
I begin this New Year with openness to greater truth
I begin this New Year with compassion for the hurting ones in the cosmos
I begin this New Year with willingness to help those who will need my care
I begin this New Year with longing for ever greater inner freedom
I begin this New Year with love for the Holy One, my Intimate Companion
With what do you wish to begin this New Year?
God of this New Year, we face the future not knowing what the days and months will bring to us. Unite us and be love in us as we journey. May we welcome all who come our way. Deepen our faith to see all of life through Your eyes. Fill us with hope and an abiding trust that You dwell in us amidst all our sorrows and joys. We ask this in through Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
