Sr. Ellen Doyle

Sr. Ellen, the oldest of eight children, entered the Brown County Ursulines in 1967.  She had met and come to love the Ursulines while as a student at St. Vivian School in Finneytown, OH.  Besides early ministry in religious education in the rural counties near Brown County, she served as Director of Ursuline Camp, a teacher at Ursuline Academy in Cincinnati, an administrator at Lourdes High School in Chicago, and Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Charlotte.  After serving as President of Chatfield College for eleven years, Ellen became the Executive Director at the National Association of Church Personnel Administrators.  She then began national and international consulting and facilitating work for the Catholic Leadership Institute, Catholic parishes and religious communities of men and women, which she still continues.

Currently also a spiritual director, writer and presenter, Sr. Ellen is writing a book on inter-generational relationships, based on 18 years of letter-writing, mentoring and loving with her Great Uncle Monsignor J. Stanley Hale.  She is actively involved in St. Columban Parish in Loveland OH and various women’s groups.  A neighbor to BC Ursuline Sr. Lucia Castellini, she lives in Milford, OH, and stays in close touch with her large family of siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
