Angela's Promise by Sister Pat Brockman, OSU

Now available in the online store.

This simple poetic work takes us back to the original hope of St. Angela Merici. Having promised to remain more vividly with her followers after her death, we witness Angela’s movement from the culture of the profound mysticism of medieval 14th Century to the individualism of 15th Century Renaissance. The sweeping changes of time have carried the original hope of Angela throughout the past 500 years.

In the strength of that vision, Sr. Pat has assured us of Angela’s witness in our own times, the independence of women, a deepened connection to the Church, and the interweaving of women and men at work together in the world.

Sr. Pat was drawn to do this poem from her research work with many Sisters and her profound love of Angela.

Visit the online store for this book or one of our many other books http://ursulinesofbc.org/index.php/online-store or download the order form.
